Computing
The school follows the Department for Education curriculum for computing. The school has a carefully devised scheme of work which incorporates the latest best practice in the teaching of computing, including programming at all levels.
The school has invested in hardware, with support from FOSBA (The Parent Body) and has purchased a number of iPads for each class, kindles and new desktops. The school also uses netbooks in classes.
The computing curriculum prepares pupils to participate in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly transformed by access to varied and developing technology
Increased capability in the use of IT promotes initiative and independent learning, with pupils being able to make informed judgments about when and where to use computing to best effect.
